Originally recorded in the late 90s, originally a low profile release in 2009. This is the concert which first paired pianist Mark Kramer with acclaimed bassist Eddie Gomez. Joe Chambers (drums.) Track 1 "Days of Yester" (IP pending ) is actually the first time they played together, completely unrehearsed and without lead sheets. Recorded onto a early high sampling rate VCR digital recorder with just two well-placed Neumann condenser mics, the sound is remarkable. From the very initial opening joint musical phrases, it is clear why Mark and Eddie formed a lasting and productive collaboration over the ensuing decades. A classic which stands the test of time. Mark Kramer (piano, arranger, BMI.)
