La Sitiera is said to be based on Cuban Folk melodies. Here the piece was performed early one morning as an extended fluently improvised Bach like fugue. Accompanied here by authentic Cuban percussionist - Al Aguilera. While most everyone is tryng improve on, if not separate from, the classic son montuna, here is it unapologetically celebrated.
