This is true folk-classical Chinese music never performed by Western jazz artists. It was part of Mark's effort to understand indigenous Chinese classical-folk music to prepare for performances in China. It is, therefore, being offered at a premium. It is usually performed on Pipa (Chinese "guitar" and the bowed Chinese instrument- Erhu. The articulations on the piano at times attempt to emulate the Erhu and Pipa.
