Live Concert on a very snowy night in February of 2015 (as part of the Hong Kong Fusion Series v8) took place also on the Chinese New Year. Despite the snow it was nicely attended. It starts out with solo piano as traffic prevented the bassist from arriving from NYC on time. The work is unusual as it contains several popular Chinese folk songs set to jazz as well as several originals also played for the first time. Intermixed selections include improvisations which occur on altered Jazz Standards’ chord changes. Gary Mazzaroppi (bass) and John Mosemann (drums) accompany Mark. The collection is recorded well, and qualifies for repeated listening.
